Here is a note from Hannah Carpendale who is a member of the Ancient Forest Alliance.  She will be the guest leader of this hike and will help us find the ancient trees in this area.  As well see below for what we can learn on this hike from her talk.

The Ancient Forest Alliance is a non-profit environmental organization working to protect endangered ancient forests in BC.  We lead public old-growth hikes, during which we talk about old-growth forest ecosystems as well as the politics of old-growth logging in BC and the need to protect our ancient forests.  Donations are always welcome and are crucial for us to continue our conservation work, so any possible support is greatly appreciated!  We work alongside other environmental groups and with unions, small businesses, First Nations, student groups and the public to advocate for the protection of endangered old-growth forests in BC.  For more information about our work, visit www.ancientforestalliance.org
For liability reasons, we ask that everyone sign a waiver form before the hike.  Everyone should judge and be confident of their own ability to complete the hike, as we want to ensure the safety and health of everyone who comes along.

Hike details/difficulty:
The Brothers Creek Loop is listed as about 7km and with an elevation gain of around 350m.  It should take around 4 hours, but could be more or less depending on the group.  The difficulty is classified as moderate due to elevation gain and some uneven and steep sections of trail.

Depending on where we park this hike could be as short as 6 km round trip or longer. There is little elevation gain so it is a trip suitable for most hikers.
